Self portrait

 

this is the classmate I drew and I was trying to focused more in the face features more than the face expression I was capturing all the details so that I would make it look like the actual person ,l unfortunately it didn’t exactly look like the same  but I believe it was close enough I tried!! Just the face alignment and the some of the features don’t add up correctly. I also tried to draw t some of his clothes on the picture its shown on the portrait, to me this portrait wasn’t difficult at all I love to draw and when the task is challenging I don’t hesitate I just try to do my best I’m learning and as you learn you make mistakes, I was very pleased with the results and I really liked the way my classmate portrait came out, I’m pretty sure that as I practice a little more my shapes will be better .

What Is Art

 

 

                  Art is a scenario of different ideas or feelings that can be shown in many different ways, it is a portal to imagination that can be expressed by paint, music, drawn etc... Art can be and image in trapped in the mind from the past or present or set of memories from life, it can also be the language the artist creates in order to express a message or meaning to the receiver in this case the audience. 

 For many years Art has been around leading us to develop an interest on learning about it ,many artist such as Da vinci and Donatello have been known for ages for their great artistic visualization Donatello for his great sculptures and Da vinci for his great paintings, one of his most common art piece known  worldwide is known as The Mona Lisa this two artists are known for their great characteristic and creativity in  art.

Artist can show art in many different ways artist: Jerry Saltz author of the article Seeing Out Loud wrote the following:  I don't look for skill in art; I look for originality, surprise, obsession, energy, experimentation, something visionary, and a willingness to embarrass oneself in public Meaning that art doesn’t always have to be the same pattern it can have diversity and be unique.

 Art is connected to what we experience every day is a way of expressing your everyday life, is expanding your voice beyond words to create an impact or to deliver a message to the audience. In the way art has change throughout society is that art now a days can be more spontaneous and diverse now we can see art  in walls ,cars ,buses and more just not the museums, artist are expanding their thoughts and painting like never before to create a new impact on what the meaning of art really means.

What is known as Art can be seen in places different such as museums, parks, broadways shows, billboards posters etc...  Infinite ways to create and show art, even in the back of your notebook you just have to let your imagination flow and express what you really feel inside you just put effort into it and focus on a purpose anything is possible you just need to believe on it.

Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

 

Back in the day art was very different from now, what might be an art  us now in which we categorized with paintings mostly before was shown in statues and big sacred monuments before the whole consistence of the word art was just so magnificent it was incredible. Many years before art started as a symbol of loyalty and beliefs ,the pharaoh was the main leader of the community ,he had the power over everything  and  the way he stated his art was  by making many of his  people  create a statue of him as a way of honor and respect to him letting everyone know he was the king , this statues of him  lasted many years to be built and it took a lot of work from all the men  ,after the statue  others forms of art were being created  such as monuments as the Pyramids of Egypt which we still have today and let us admire the art form before .

Today’s artist are more into the visual arts and painting compare to before when all forms of art were shown with some type of rock or statue , back in the times over (2000 years ago ) all that was mostly done was  statues and monuments ,instead now we have wall art  or painting we don’t use the same method we used before and if we do we don’t do it was often as before  . Monuments with such value are today remembered due to the great stories that are behind  and all the different aspect of art it  teach us  , it show  how has art developed throughout the years  and how have  those beautiful statues impacted many artist in the world inspiring them with their painting .  It’s very important to remember those times those times show how we as a society have grew and changed art to a whole different level.

One interesting video called the seven wonders of the  ancient word by : (you tube ) explain how many monuments such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon; the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus; the Statue of Zeus at Olympia; the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus; the Colossus of Rhodes; and the Pharos of Alexandria where built by many different leaders leading us to now experience and learn from it, how these monuments and statues were made and all the time and effort it took so that today we can still have it and admire the beauty of these arts.
